Dunstall Park Greyhound Stadium will bring the curtain down on the UK’s greyhound racing schedule for 2025 with a sparkling New Year’s Eve race night counting down to midnight.
Eleven live races plus family entertainment and a countdown party have been scheduled by the Wolverhampton venue which held its launch fixture in September, two years after plans to create the UK’s first brand-new track in more than a decade were revealed.
It will be the sole evening fixture in both greyhound and horse racing on New Year’s Eve.
And to mark the occasion, ticket prices have been frozen by the track’s management with a view to ending the year on a high only eight months after ground was broken to start its development.
Chris Black, General Manager at Dunstall Park Greyhound Stadium, said the evening will cap a landmark year for racegoers and the sport alike.
“It’s extraordinary what has been achieved this year at Dunstall Park,” said Chris.
“And therefore, as a team, we wanted end 2025 in style by hosting the UK’s final fixture and bring in the new year.
“We’re thrilled to have received the green light to host 10 live races and have plans to make it an evening to remember for racegoers afterwards with our own after-party and live DJ set.
“It was a huge team effort to reach the point where our doors could open to the public for the first time in September.
“Every part of our transition from Perry Barr to Dunstall Park has flowed seamlessly, and on the track we’ve already witnessed history with Butlers Lane landing the Premier Greyhound Racing Oaks for Bary Denby.
“It’s going to be an evening of celebration, and we’d love to see as many racegoers trackside as possible on the night.”
Tickets and hospitality packages for Dunstall Park’s Race Into 2026 fixture are available online via www.dunstallpark-greyhounds.co.uk.
Racing begins at 6.08pm, with the final race off at 9pm after which the venue will remain open until late once 2026 has arrived.
