What's happening at Wolverhampton

Tue, Aug 18, 2015

Wolverhampton Racecourse has this month appointed two new starters in the Events Team; an Events Sales Manager and Events Co-ordinator. The growth in the Events Team stems from an increased emphasis on the non-racing side of the business.
New Events Sales Manager, Lauren Jones, moves to the racecourse from Amplify, who are an arm of the NEC Group. Formerly an Events Sales Executive and Events Co-ordinator, Lauren has vast applicable experience to the role shes taking up in Wolverhampton. Commenting on her new position, Lauren said, Im looking forward to working for the racecourse within this growing area of the business. Im relishing the opportunity of selling the venue as a business destination as the facilities are fantastic.
Jade Lawley is the newly appointed Events Co-ordinator and has come from Weston Park, where she held the same position as she does now at the racecourse. With years of Event Co-ordination experience behind her, Jade is no stranger to the role she takes on at Wolverhampton Racecourse.

More than just a racecourse, Wolverhampton Racecourse is one of the premier conferencing and meeting venues in the Midlands. With facilities that can accommodate business events of many sizes, ample free parking, and also the added convenience of onsite accommodation in the racecourse owned Holiday Inn, the racecourse has an increasing reputation as a business destination 365 days a year, and the expansion of the Events Team clearly marks the intentions of the racecourse to be a major events venue, not just regionally, but nationally too.
