New venue of The City of Wolverhampton Show, Wolverhampton Racecourse have today announced Free Radio as the official media partner for the event, taking place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July.

Free Radio Marketing Director, Andy Price, said “We’re delighted to be involved in this years’ City Show. Following the hugely successful Christmas Lights Switch On, it’s great we can now add a big summer show to our event calendar in Wolverhampton. Expect a fun weekend with some of the best up and coming local talent on show.”

Known across the West Midlands for delivering superb entertainment, the Free Radio Stage will play host to live music performances, games, presenters and much more across the weekend, all broadcast on the digital screens around the venue.

Wolverhampton Racecourse Managing Director, David Roberts, said “It’s great to have such a reputable media partner on board for The City of Wolverhampton Show in its inaugural year at the racecourse. We hope this will be the first of many successful events held in partnership with Free Radio.”

Focal to the event, the Free Radio Arena will stage a number of quality entertainment acts, with past show favourites such as Big Pete Monster Truck and Bolddog Lings Motorcycle Display Team, lining up alongside show debutants Kangaroo Kid with their quad bike stunts, The Stampede Stunt Company performing a range of stunts on horses and David Seamark Sheepdog Display.

Ticket prices are £5 adults, £4 children and free for under-twos. Car parking is £3 per car per day, to be paid on the day. Tickets can be purchased online at or by calling Midland Box Office on 0870 320 7000.
